FIRST CHARACTER DISCUSSION TOPIC: Akabara Strauss vs Lelouch vi Britannia

So far no one has put up any Character Discussion topics

So let me begin!

It was talked a little about, but I want to delve more into this subject.

Akabara & Lelouch

I say they are quite similar. They both wished for peace between races/countries or aka The World. Akabara is very powerful in his magic, much like Lelouch has his Geass to control the will of people.

Anyone else like to add their opinion

P.S. I will go further, but I am too lazy to put too much on the first post xD

Yes. They definitely have similar goals and ideas (and power to achieve them). Sometimes even their actions match.

However, it is hard of me to think of them as 'similar'. Akabara is much more collected than Lelouch (perhaps due to the dramatic age difference), who was driven first by his thirst for revenge rather than the wellbeing of others (that changed later).

Also, I’m not sure if Akabara has shown any interest in cooking and/or housekeeping.

I think the revenge was just a facade, like how people assumed that Akabara was looking for the queen for revenge.
All in all I think that Lelouch's goal in the beginning was the well being of Nunally.
(You've seen all of Code Geass right?)

I suppose. And yes, I've seen the whole of Code Geass. I know that Lelouch wanted to create the perfect world for his sister, but he also wanted to take revenge on Britania.

Plus, have you seen Akabara pissed off or stressed? I haven't (yet). I think that those two are completely different characters with almost identical goals and in similar circumstances.

I havent watch code geass yet, I tried few episodes but they made me sleep. :/

oh dear, seems I've been away from this forum for too long =/
anyways, it seemed at the beginning, I think Strauss actually was out for revenge until he found out the whole truth about the story, at which point I'd guess he had one of those epiphanies, or maybe it just happened more realistically over the next few months or years before he began his plan. It seems kind of likely he just used the fact that he had made people fear and hate him while he was going medieval on everyone and rolled with it, integrating it into his plan.
also, I haven't watched all of Code Geass, but it seems interesting after the first couple eps

Really? Well, it does get a bit boring towards the middle but then it gets good again. I think Code Geass is a brilliant series.
